Magic & Dolphins
Our last trip together was so close to not happening. A week before we were scheduled to leave, he gave me a call and said it was off—doctors weren’t confident his lungs would stand the flights.
Instead of cancelling travel, and risk losing the hotel rooms and such, something told me to just wait. Days before we were to leave, he calls and just says “book it.” His doctors greenlit the trip and we screamed and hollered with happiness.
On this trip, he was able to snorkel for what would become his last time. We held hands and floated together and I’ll never forget how important it felt to reach out and steal that moment just for us.
Sharing the beauty that he got to experience before his passing.
